About the role

Lead the way in shaping the future of Tasmania’s marine resources. As Section Manger, Wild Fisheries Projects, Policy and Strategy Coordination you will provide strategic advice, develop policy and drive initiatives that ensure sustainable fisheries management.

  • Direct and oversee project teams within the Wild Fisheries Branch.
  • Lead and manage the Policy, Projects and Strategy team, fostering staff development and growth.
  • Coordinate and monitor projects and reporting, ensuring high-quality documentation and timely delivery.
  • Engage and represent the Agency with stakeholders, industry groups, and government agencies.

Our preferred candidate will have the option to work from Hobart or Launceston.

Hours per fortnight

73.50 hours per fortnight (minimum 58.80 hours, by negotiation).

Desirable requirements

  • Five years’ experience involving fisheries management, or assessment or equivalent experience.
  • A current motor vehicle drivers’ licence.
  • AIIMS or other response training.
