The Senior Financial Reporting Accountant II will be responsible for owning assigned accounting processes and supporting the financial reporting activities of Flogistix, a multi-entity oilfield services and manufacturing organization. Flogistix operates as a subsidiary of Flowco Holdings, Inc., a publicly traded company.

Essential Functions


Own assigned accounting functions and serve as the primary accounting resource and point of contact for those areas
Lead month-end close activities for assigned areas, including preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules
Perform financial statement and account analysis for assigned areas
Support parent-company reporting requirements through preparation of schedules, analyses, and supporting documentation
Collaborate with operations, supply chain, manufacturing, and other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting
Assist with annual financial, tax, vendor, and other audits by preparing supporting schedules and responding to audit requests
Research accounting issues for conformity with GAAP and company policy and recommend appropriate accounting treatment
Assist with training and development of accounting personnel
Timely and effectively complete miscellaneous projects and tasks as assigned
Continually drive ongoing process and procedural improvements, including internal controls, within the accounting department and company

QualificationsQualifications and Requirements

Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred in Accounting, Finance, and/or equivalent
CPA eligible required, CPA preferred
Minimum 3-5 years accounting experience required
Oil and gas, manufacturing, or industrial services experience preferred
NetSuite ERP experience preferred

Specific Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting principles
Ability to gather, analyze, and interpret financial information
Strong spreadsheet skills using Microsoft Excel
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and effectively prioritize responsibilities
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Understanding of internal controls and SOX requirements
Ability to partner effectively with operational departments and business leaders
Ability to maintain organized and audit-ready supporting documentation
Ability to research accounting issues and recommend appropriate accounting treatment
