About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Core Tech Programmer to join our team of engineers to develop & maintain the studio's core game and engine technology stack. As a core tech programmer at RPG, you'll apply your extensive knowledge of core engine systems and collaborate across disciplines to help us achieve our ambitious targets for the game while delivering silky-smooth frame rates.

What You’ll Do

• Develop and contribute to core game and engine systems
• Profiling, optimizing and debugging core game and engine systems
• Support other developers with engine best practices in your areas of expertise
• Assist with Unreal Engine integrations
• Assist with enforcing project code standards
• Mentor other developers
  
  
  

What We’re Looking For

• 8+ years of relevant experience
• Excellent C++ skills
• Experience working with PC and/or console games
• At least 2 credits from an AA or AAA game
• In depth understanding of one or more key engine subsystems, including how these are systems are architected, such as:
  • Physics
  • Streaming
  • Animation
  • Graphics
  • Audio
  • Task System
  • ECS
    
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Comfortable collaborating with other engineers and developers
• A relevant Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
