Customer Service Representative

Job Summary

Assists the sales and marketing teams with all aspects of projects by performing the following duties. Under direct supervision, interacts with customers by telephone or in person in order to provide information about products and services, take orders or cancel accounts or obtain details of complaints. Keeps records of customer interactions and transactions, recording details of inquiries, complaints and comments, as well as actions taken. Resolves customer service complaints.

Job Responsibilities

• Interacts daily with customers by email, phone or in person
• Assists the sales and marketing teams with documentation
• Take calls
• Enter orders
• Charge credit cards when necessary
• Provide proof of delivery
• Quote shipping costs
• Handle free goods and replacements
• Make credit requests
• Expedite orders when necessary
• Verify correct pricing and terms
• Handle sample orders for Sales team, Trade shows and Pro Staff
• Performs special projects and other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• 1+ years’ related experience and/or training

• May require sitting for long periods of time in an office environment
• Working in a Team orientated environment  

Preferred Skills

• Associate degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school.
• A background in the hunting, fishing, or outdoor sporting goods market.
• Proficient in utilizing Microsoft office with strong Microsoft Excel skills.
