Monday-Friday (occasional evenings and weekends) Position is eligible for hybrid telework workweek
POSITION PURPOSE:
Manages responsibilities in teacher and school leader incentive program grant. Oversees the development and implementation of the grant supportive of teacher and school development. Integrates grant components within professional learning communities (PLCs). Provides coaching and professional learning in order to align school and district systems and structures. Ensures that implementation is resulting in increases in student outcome data and high quality teaching and learning. The position is a 3 year grant funded position scheduled to end on September 30, 2026.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES (KSAs)
- Extensive knowledge of best practices to influence adult learning;
- Considerable knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; Google Apps;
- Knowledge of research based instructional practices;
- Excellent organizational skills;
- Effective time management skills;
- Critical thinking and problem–solving skills;
- Ability to design and deliver professional development to adults; ability to support staff through professional job coaching;
- Ability to adapt to digital tools and resources;
- Ability to model, coach, and engage in PLCs’ structures and practices;
- Ability to evaluate trainings and professional learning to ensure topics and information are being implemented;
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both in oral and written form using a variety of communication techniques and tools to ensure the appropriate flow of information, collaborative efforts, and feedback;
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with school system staff and parents/guardians.
EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university;
- Five years K-12 teaching experience;
- Experience in coaching adults;
- Demonstrated success teaching and training adults;
- Experience facilitating and coaching teams and individuals;
- Experience in planning and delivering professional learning;
- An equivalent combination of education and relevant experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.
CERTIFICATION AND LICENSE REQUIREMENTS
- Hold or be qualified to hold a North Carolina Professional Educator’s License;
- Must hold and maintain a valid motor vehicle operator’s license according to the State of NC requirements.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university;
- School administrator license.
