Avista Senior Living in Lake Havasu is looking for ARIZONA CERTIFIED CAREGIVERS to join our compassionate health services teams for PRN shifts.

Applicants must have their Arizona Caregiver Certifications, Fingerprint Clearance Card, Current TB Test, CPR and First Aid.

Responsibilities:

• Under the supervision of the Health Services Director, the Caregiver provides the residents with help meeting all supervisory and personal level of care.
• Attends to the individual needs of residents, which may include assistance with grooming, bathing, laundry assistance, nutrition service, life enriching activities, or other needs in keeping with each individual’s care requirement
• Maintains the comfort, privacy, and dignity of each resident in the delivery of services
• Interacts with residents in a manner that displays warmth and promotes a caring environment
• Is responsible for promptly reporting to the Health Services Director incidents or evidence of resident abuse or a violation of residents’ rights
• Assists in maintaining a safe, neat, and clean environment
• Observes residents for changes in condition or behavior and promptly reports these changes to the Health Services Director.
• Manages medications for residents requiring assistance and/or medication administration when authorized by a physician and has demonstrated competency with the manager or designee
• Answers all residents’ call bells promptly and courteously, as well as anticipates needs of residents who are incapable of calling for assistance or recognizing the need for assistance
• When necessary, lifts, moves, and transports residents, using proper body mechanics or lifting devices
• Communicates and interacts effectively and tactfully with the residents, visitors, families, and co-workers
• Participates in activities and functions as directed
