THE GEORGE is a 56-room upscale, boutique hotel located at 615 Front Street Georgetown, SC (corner of Front & Queen Streets) and the property will offer visitors and locals an unparalleled waterfront dining and lodging experience at an unsurpassed location within the charming historic, colonial seaport town of Georgetown, South Carolina. In addition to fifty-six rooms and suites, the property will offer a full-service restaurant and bar on the Front Street side of the property, and will feature waterfront event space, a waterfront bar and activity lawn for lounging, games, and events. The George will have direct marina access affording boaters and opportunity to enjoy the hotels’ amenities and guests an opportunity to access charter vessels for fishing, eco-excursions, and sailing in the Winyah Bay and surrounding areas.

YOU ARE...

A successful Restaurant General Manager with 3+ years experience managing high-volume restaurants (200 - 300 covers) in an upscale and food focused environment. You are passionate about food and look forward to engaging the local community to procure the highest quality product to create unforgettable experiences (for team-members & guests). Encourage staff development and promote a positive experience while also effectively communicate to get the job done. As an ambassador for Indigo Road you’ll authentically embrace Internal Hospitality and strive to create memorable experiences for people through food.

As the Restaurant General Manager at The George, you'll be an ambassador for IRHG and authentically embrace Internal Hospitality. You’ll look after all aspects of the property including; people, culture, communication, and operations.

YOU'LL HAVE...

• 3+ years of successful restaurant management experience in a high-volume and upscale food focused environment
• Passionate about Internal Hospitality and embrace our core values
• Strong problem resolution skills
• Have exceptional organizational skills and a keen eye for detail
• Effective communication skills and the ability to navigate important conversation

Requirements

WHAT TO EXPECT. ON THE FLOOR & IN THE OPERATION…Your schedule may vary (days, nights, weekends, holiday’s) based on seasonality, covers, and hours of operation but in general you can expect to work 40 to 50 hours a week.
