We are currently seeking a Clinical Nurse - Specialty Coordinator to support the Operating Rooms General Surgery service line. This role offers an opportunity to lead, innovate, and influence patient care in a high-acuity setting. Position Overview The Clinical Nurse - Specialty Coordinator manages a service line for a high-acuity patient population across all ages. This role involves comprehensive assessment, clinical judgment, and monitoring of physiological health, developing and implementing care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team. The Coordinator acts as a clinical expert, providing leadership at the unit and system level, supporting staff development, and ensuring delivery of high-quality care aligned with the organization’s mission and vision. This role requires scrub and/or circulating experience, advanced clinical knowledge of the specialty, and involvement in developing core curricula and orientation programs. The Coordinator will oversee ongoing staff education, act as a role model, and serve as a resource and member of the management team, always keeping patient-centered care at the forefront. Qualifications & Requirements:
  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) required.
  • Licensure:
    • Active RN license in Indiana or Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC).
    • Graduation from a nationally accredited nursing program.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of two years of OR experience required.
  • Certifications:
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association (AHA).
    • Additional advanced life support certifications may be required per departmental policies.
