Job Description
At Money20/20, we set the agenda for the money ecosystem. Banks, big tech, payment networks, and the up‑next builders meet at Money20/20 to shape what’s next. We’re hiring a Vice President, Global Strategic Partnerships who can walk into a room of C‑suite execs, turn big ideas into board‑ready deals, and then own delivery end‑to‑end. This is a senior role with real weight and visibility.
Key Responsibilities
Partnership Strategy and Development
- Identify and prioritize high‑value partners across the global fintech, financial services, payments, digital assets, banking, data and research, and technology landscape including influential media organizations, venture funds, and top accelerators where partnership can meaningfully expand Money20/20’s reach and industry influence.
- Build and evolve our partnership strategy across North America, EMEA, APAC, and LATAM, ensuring Money20/20 is positioned to grow and lead within every major fintech hub globally. Understand where each region is moving, how regulatory environments shape opportunity, and where Money20/20 can uniquely create opportunity.
- Translate macro trends, emerging technologies, and competitive shifts into clear partnership opportunities and commercial pathways. Maintain a visible, accountable pipeline and lead deals from first conversation through final agreement. Create structured partnership tiers with clear criteria, benefits, pricing guidance, and delivery expectations.
Executive Presence and Senior Stakeholder Leadership
- Establish trusted, strategic relationships with C‑suite leaders, founders, and senior executives at the world’s most influential companies. Speak fluently about banking, payments, lending, digital identity, fraud, data infrastructure, and the regulatory forces shaping the ecosystem.
- Translate complex strategic discussions into board ready proposals with defined objectives, operational plans, and performance indicators. Lead senior cadences including partnership reviews, steering meetings, quarterly updates, and executive debriefs across multiple regions.
Relationship Ownership and Negotiation
- Serve as the senior relationship owner across the entire lifecycle. Guide partners from initial alignment into execution, renewal, and expansion.
- Negotiate full partnership structures: commercial terms, rights and entitlements, co‑marketing, content involvement, measurement frameworks, and ongoing governance.
- Develop clear scopes of work with unambiguous roles, timelines, deliverables, and reporting. Maintain senior‑level transparency throughout execution and proactively manage risks, milestones, and readiness across global shows.
Cross‑Functional Leadership and Operational Excellence
- Navigate complex stakeholder landscapes across legal, finance, content, design, marketing, operations, PR, and regional show leadership. Bring clarity, alignment, and momentum to multi‑region teams.
- Own delivery across global shows: partner briefs, asset creation, speaker coordination, logistics, onsite activation, and post‑show readouts. Uphold Money20/20’s high standards across every phase of the partnership experience.
Qualifications
- Deep knowledge of the financial services and fintech ecosystem across banking, payments, credit and lending, fraud and risk, digital identity, data infrastructure, embedded finance, and the evolving digital asset landscape.
- A proven history of closing complex, multi‑party partnerships and guiding them through product, engineering, and marketing execution.
- A strong, global network across fintech, banks, payment networks, platforms, and infrastructure providers. You should be able to understand a partner’s business model and competitive pressures.
- Comfort navigating cultural nuance, regional market maturity, and global enterprise structures. Demonstrated success managing international stakeholders and delivering partnership programs across time zones.
