Lead High-Voltage Systems Engineer

We are designing our next generation aiEVTOL and growing a team of world-class aviation professionals. We are seeking self-driven, passionate, and experienced professionals to join our team. 

 

Responsibilities:

• Perform detailed studies to lead the design of various battery subsystems
• Work with a simulation team to analyze and predict battery electrical and thermal performance at the cell, module, and pack level
• Produce documentation for all exploratory work, analysis, and design decisions
• Design and document experiments to validate battery systems and components
• Develop electric vehicle electrical system architecture

 

Qualifications:

• BSME /Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent years of work experience.
• 5+ years of battery system design and a track record of success
• Knowledge of lithium-ion cells, battery packs, and their behavior over their lifetime
• Understanding of the various subsystems in a high voltage battery system including the high voltage chain, battery management system and cooling system
• Experience building, modeling, or analyzing lithium ion battery packs
• Understanding the role of a battery pack in an EV and the stresses imposed on it
• Strong mechanical background in statics, vibrations, material selection
• Experience with Product Lifecycle Management systems, CAD design
• Experience with battery pack and module testing (preferred)
• Experience with data science and programming (preferred)
• Experience with 3DX/CATIA, MATLAB, Simulink, Stateflow, and model-in-the-loop testing (preferred)
