Hydraulic Cylinder Test Technician

The hydraulic cylinder test technician is a part-time position supporting Franklin Logistics' client on-site at our facility located on Guilford Springs road in Chambersburg, PA. This location is equipped with a full cylinder inspection and test shop where all warranty and production quality cylinder inspections take place for N. America for our client. The hydraulic cylinder test technician is a non-exempt, hourly position reporting directly to the site supervisor.

Hours: 7am - 3:30 pm (20 hours per week)

Starting hourly rate: $22/ hour

Essential Job functions

- Ability to follow all SHPAC-USA policies and safety procedures

- Ability to maintain a professional appearance and hygiene

- Assist with hydraulic cylinder testing on a variety of cylinder sizes from 2ft up to 30ft long

Will be working will high pressure hydraulic oil (up to 3000psi)

- Install hydraulic valves and assist with general rework as needed

- Assist with inventory inspections as needed

- Will be responsible for general shop maintenance and upkeep

Requirements

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities

- Demonstrates a willingness to learn on the job

- Must be 18 years of age or older

- Has prior experience using general hand wrenches and torque wrenches (mechanic experience is a plus)

- Able to lift 50lbs minimum

- Prior hydraulic experience is a plus
