Lead Radiation Therapist

Responsible for accurately overseeing and the delivery of the prescribed, planned course of radiation therapy for patients of any age group inclusive of simulation, mold room duties, treatment, quality assurance, dosimetry and nursing assistance as requested by the Radiation Oncologist according to department, hospital and regulatory agency standards.  Assesses situations, exercises care, uses discretion and judgment, assumes responsibility for professional decisions, and acts in the best interest of the patient.

Required Qualifications:

• Coursework/Training: Satisfactory completion of program of formal education in radiation therapy.
• National Certification from American Registry of Radiologic Technologists upon hire.
• California Diagnostic and Therapeutic Radiologic Technology Certification upon hire or
• California Therapeutic Radiologic Technology Certification upon hire.
• 3 years experience in a radiation therapy department.

The amounts listed are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
