We’re looking for a Systems Engineering Senior to join the Infrastructure team. They’ll lead the strategic planning, design, and management of enterprise IT infrastructure. This role will oversee the design and administration of server/storage systems, enforce IT policies and procedures, and safeguard the availability, integrity, and security of organizational data.

The Systems Engineering Senior is responsible for is responsible for driving infrastructure initiatives, enhancing system performance, ensuring regulatory compliance, and promoting operational excellence. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience managing complex Microsoft Windows–based environments in a global, regulated organization (financial services industry preferred).

Responsibilities are, but not limited to:

• Design, implement, and oversee deployment of enterprise infrastructure VMware virtualization environments (vCenter, ESXi, clusters).
• Manage, optimize, and provide support for Dell VxRail hyperconverged systems.
• Administer, troubleshoot, and ensure reliability of Dell/HP servers and storage platforms.
• Oversee data domain backup and storage solutions, while ensuring data protection and disaster recovery readiness.
• Administer and support Microsoft 365 services (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Intune).
• Monitor system performance, capacity, and availability, while proactively identifying and resolving issues.
• Manage and optimize Azure cloud resources, including but not limited to compute, storage, networking, and security configurations.
• Deploy, configure, and support Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD/VDI) environments.
• Implement and enforce IT security best practices and patch management across systems.
• Work closely with cross-functional IT teams to support business applications and services.
• Participate in on-call rotation and provide escalation support for system outages.
• Partner with IT developers, leadership, and project teams to support system implementations.
• Can create automation or scripts using PowerShell (preferred).
• Manage core IT disciplines including but not limited to incident, problem, change, patch, capacity, and performance management.
• Research and evaluate emerging technologies to enhance infrastructure flexibility and effectiveness.
• Maintain current knowledge of regulatory and compliance risks.

The ideal candidate must:

• Have a bachelor’s degree in information technology or a related field
• Have networking certifications (Microsoft, networking, storage, and/or virtualization certification preferred).
• Have proven experience leading and/or participating in large-scale network and security projects with multiple stakeholders.
• Have strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Have hands-on experience in the following –
  • Core Infrastructure: AD, DNS, ADFS, DHCP
  • Scripting: PowerShell, VB
  • Microsoft Platforms: Windows Server 2016/2019/2022, Exchange, M365, AVD, Teams, SharePoint
  • Virtualization: VMware ESX, Hyper-V, Azure
  • Infrastructure Hardware: Dell/HP servers and storage
  • Network & Security: Cisco ASA/Firepower, HP ProCurve/Aruba,
