About the role

Responsible for business operations including budget, contracts, analysis for program development, and informatics Patient Care Services. Participates in preparing and evaluating current financial practices, audits, and statistical analysis of costs.

  1. Leadership
    1. Assists in the financial analysis and financial management of division activities including but not limited to budget, new capital acquisitions, contracts, billing and providing recommendations for improvement.
    2. Responsible for the development/refinement and implementation of financial policies and procedures and reporting requirements for all products and services.
    3. Supervise and provide financial oversight of the division. Works closely with Revenue Management to maintain compliance and implement processes where needed to maintain accuracy.
    4. When necessary, responsible for performance appraisals, evaluates the performance of selected employees, and provides feedback to employees in order to ensure adequate communication and understanding and the efficient provision of high quality health care services.
  2. Program Management and Daily Operations
    1. Assist the development of all budgets, including annual and three-year operational and capital budgeting and long-range financial and strategic planning for assigned divisions.
    2. Collaborates with the Managed Care department in the review and coordination for reimbursement procedures and technology.
    3. Monitors various departmental financial reports, providing recommendations for improvement, simplification and compliance. Works with Team Members and financial resources to ensure accuracy and prompt delivery.
    4. Responsible for monitoring/review of accounting and financial reports for assigned divisions.
    5. Creates performas for patient care processes with focus on operational impact and profitability.
  3. Performance Improvement and Quality
    1. Monitors progress toward achievement of financial objectives established in the annual operations plan and in individual practice financial plans.
    2. Maintains open communication between hospital multi-disciplinary teams including but not limited to Medical Directors and Nurse Managers regarding new products and services.
    3. Utilizes knowledge and expertise to participate in meetings and hospital products and services.
  4. Other Duties As Assigned
    1. Performs other duties as assigned or requested.
  • Four years experience in financial management
  • Bachelor's Degree
