JOB SUMMARY:
Assists the Cage Operations Manager with daily cage operations.
DIRECTLY SUPERVISES: Cage Shift Supervisor(s)
INDIRECTLY SUPERVISES: Cage Training Supervisor
KEY JOB FUNCTIONS:
• The Assistant Cage Manager will provide excellent internal and external guest service.
• Coordinates and supervises the controls and procedures of the Cage Shift Supervisors; to include the securing of company funds and accountability of all monies and routing of paperwork.
• Responsible for supervision and scheduling of supervisors in the cage and at the OTBs to ensure coverage levels are adequate to provide excellent customer service.
• Resolves customer complaints regarding cage matters and works with other casino departments and OTB management to facilitate resolution on team member issues.
• Responsible for enforcement of gaming regulations, internal controls and company policies and procedures.
• Performs functions of supervisor, main banker, or cage cashier when needed
• Other duties as assigned
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manages cage shift supervisors and their subordinates in the Cage Department and OTB bankers/cashiers. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of this unit. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Associates degree (A.S.) from two-year college or university; or two to four years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous supervisory experience preferred.

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES AND REGISTRATIONS:
Must be able to obtain and maintain a license from the Indiana Gaming Commission.
ACCESS TO CONFIDENTIAL/PROPRIETARY INFORMATION:
Must regularly access patron personal data including credit information, the player data base, financial records, and personnel/payroll records.
ACCESS TO GAMING FLOOR:
Requires access to general areas of the gaming facility and the cage, count rooms, and main bank areas.
