About the role

SearchPlus HR is actively seeking a Consultant/Specialist Colon and Rectal Surgeon to join our reputable healthcare organization. This role is critical in providing specialized care to patients with disorders of the colon, rectum, and anus, ensuring comprehensive evaluation and treatment.

In this position, you will leverage your surgical expertise to perform complex procedures and offer innovative solutions in managing colorectal conditions. Collaborating within a multidisciplinary team, you will focus on delivering the highest standard of patient care, prioritizing both surgical and non-surgical approaches tailored to individual patient needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and diagnose patients with colorectal disorders.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests including colonoscopies and imaging studies.
  • Develop and implement personalized treatment plans, incorporating patient education and support.
  • Perform advanced surgical procedures in both open and minimally invasive formats.
  • Manage pre-operative and post-operative care effectively to optimize patient recovery.
  • Engage with patients and families to discuss treatment options, outcomes, and preventive care.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to provide integrated care solutions.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed medical records for all patient interactions.
  • Stay current with advancements in the field of colon and rectal surgery.
  • Adhere to ethical standards and practice guidelines in all patient-related activities.

Requirements

  • Medical degree (MD or equivalent) with a valid medical license.
  • Completion of a General Surgery residency and a fellowship in Colon and Rectal Surgery.
  • Proven experience in diagnosing and managing a wide range of colorectal conditions.
  • High level of competence in performing various colorectal surgical procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective patient engagement.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary medical environment.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
