About the role
Job Summary:
The Account Manager will drive customer satisfaction and growth by selling aftermarket spare parts, serving as the main point of contact for clients. The role focuses on delivering excellent customer experiences, resolving issues, and developing long-term relationships. Strong problem-solving and proactive solutions are key, while technical knowledge is a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Relationship & Account Management
Act as the primary contact for customer inquiries related to aftermarket spare parts, ensuring high satisfaction.
Regularly engage customers to anticipate needs, provide solutions, and address issues early.
Quickly resolve concerns with clear communication and efficient solutions to maintain customer trust.
Develop strategic account plans, anticipating challenges and offering tailored aftermarket spare part solutions.
Regularly visit customers to assess needs and maintain relationships
Sales & Opportunity Development
Focus on selling aftermarket spare parts aligned with customer needs and goals.
Leverage relationships to identify new sales opportunities and upsell aftermarket products.
Create accurate & timely quotes and analyze customer data using BI, SAP, and Excel.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Collaborate with technical teams to support the installation and service of aftermarket parts. While technical knowledge is a plus, collaboration with technical teams is key to problem-solving.
Monitor market trends, customer feedback, and competitor activity to adjust strategies.
Qualifications:
Education: BS/BA in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
Experience: 5+ years in customer service or sales, with a focus on aftermarket spare parts preferred.
Skills: Strong customer service, sales, problem-solving, and communication skills. Tech-savvy, with proficiency in SAP, BI, and Excel.
Technical Knowledge (a plus): Understanding of technical systems or products is beneficial, as you may need to interpret machine documentation, schematics, and BOMs. However, strong customer service and sales skills are the primary focus.

Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple accounts.
Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and collaboration skills.
Physical Demands:
Travel (25-40%) within North America and occasional international travel to Italy.
Attendance at trade shows, seminars, and customer site visits.
