Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic Channel Marketing Specialist to join our team and drive our marketing efforts across Canadian channels. The Channel Marketing Specialist role is a senior individual contributor position responsible for owning the strategy and execution of Canadian marketing within a clearly defined market scope. Channel Marketing Specialist will operate with a high degree of independence and accountability reporting to Manager, North America Channel Marketing.
The Marketing Specialist is expected to set direction for the Canadian market, translate regional and global priorities into locally relevant strategies, and drive execution across multiple marketing disciplines. This role requires strong judgment, cross-functional influence, and the ability to manage complex initiatives with limited oversight.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Act as the primary marketing partner for Canada, collaborating closely with sales, regional marketing, and operations teams
Develop market-level strategy and plans aligned to regional and global business objectives
Apply advanced understanding of the Canadian market to inform prioritization, planning, and recommendations
Lead the end-to-end execution of integrated marketing initiatives across multiple channels (e.g., retail, e-commerce, digital, campaigns, events)
Maximize ROI on marketing development funds (MDF) against IMP goals
Adapt and localize regional/global marketing programs to ensure effectiveness in the Canadian market
Manage multiple concurrent initiatives, balancing strategic priorities with operational execution
Define KPIs and success metrics for Canadian marketing initiatives
Analyze performance data, identify trends, and apply insights to optimize plans
Provide market conditions updates, best practices, suggestions, and ideas to leadership
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field; MBA or advanced degree in Marketing preferred
- 6-8+ years of experience in channel marketing or related field, preferably in the technology industry
- Strong understanding of the Canadian market - retail, etail, and distribution channels
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels
- Experience supporting product launches or integrated go-to-market initiatives
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking capabilities
- Fluency in English and French required
- Experience working within a global or regional marketing organization
- Proven track record of developing successful channel marketing programs
- Ability to travel within Canada and USA as needed for partner meetings and events
