The Laboratory Technician/Analyst, using general laboratory methods, techniques, equipment, and instrumentation in compliance with Eurofins TestAmerica’s Quality Assurance programs and SOP’s, supports laboratory operations through general maintenance of laboratory and supply storage areas, equipment, instruments, and
supplies. Must fill (3) positions  Monday- Friday 12:00pm-8:00pm or 2:00pm-10:00pm  Overtime as needed. Must live a commutable distance to our Earth City, MO lab.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Retrieves samples from Sample Control for analysis.
• Performs sample preparation which may include, but is not limited to, a combination of the following methods:
• Aliquot samples
• Spike and trace samples
• Prepare reagents
• Bottle samples
• Prepare concentrations
• Separation
• Sonication
• Liquid rack set up
• Resolves discrepancies and anomalies to ensure samples are properly labeled.
• Prepares general laboratory paperwork such as recording analysis results, tracking samples, bench sheets, and laboratory logbooks.
• Washes laboratory glassware to prepare for next day’s samples

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform each essential duty. The requirements below are representative of the knowledge, skill, or ability required.

Education/Experience (BMQ):

• High School Chemistry coursework, basic laboratory experience

Ability and/or Skills (BMQ):

• General knowledge of chemistry and/or general science
• Basic mathematical skills
• Production work
• Good organizational skills
• Good communication skills
• Problem solving skills
• Ability to muti-task
• Quick learner
• Work independently
• Work within time constraints
• Ability to stand more than 80% of the time
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs at times.
