We currently have a career opportunity for a Team Lead Full Stack Java Developer to join our team. This is a remote position located in anywhere in the United States or Canada.
Job Overview:
As a Lead Full Stack Developer you will participate in all aspects of the software development lifecycle which includes estimating, technical design, implementation, documentation, testing, deployment and support of application developed for our clients. As a core member working in a global team environment you will work with solution architects and developers on interpretation/translation of wireframes and creative designs into functional requirements, and subsequently into technical design.

- Lead the technical planning & requirements gathering phases including estimate, develop, test, manage projects, architect and delivery
- Contribute to the resolution of all requirements/feedback/scoping/design issues or questions directly with the client
- Understand the unique business and technical requirements of the engagement and facilitate communications on the most appropriate solution design
- Engage in the process of developing technical documentation efforts and creation of user stories
- Estimating project development efforts and unit testing efforts
- Developing and unit testing of code components per the user story
- Conduct code audits and reviews as required
- Ensure implementation, deployment, and backup is done following best practices and client standards
- Serve as a technical lead and mentor. Provide technical support or leadership in the development and continual improvement of service.
- Demonstrate the ability to adapt and work with team members of various experience level.
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with team members and client.
- Participate in the creation of the WBS and backlog per sprint and assist PM in project planning
- Independently manage assigned tasks
- Lead and manage an offshore development and QA team
- Attend sprint planning, retrospective meetings, daily stand-ups and report technical blockers to the team
- Passionate coders with 10+ years of application development experience
- Minimum 7 years of programming experience with Java/J2EE
- Minimum 5 years of experience with Spring Boot Frameworks
- Minimum 5 years of experience with API development
- Minimum 2 years of experience with front-end technologies such as React, Angular, or comparable modern UI framework
- Experience working with AWS
- Experience in Microservice design for complex systems with strong knowledge of Micro service patterns
- Experience and expertise in design and implementation of event driven architecture (EDA) in conjunction with Micro-services
- Experience in API life cycle management
- Experience leading, managing, and mentoring global distributed development teams
- Full life-cycle development experience – with Agile/Scrum project approach
- Client facing and/or consulting experience is a must
- Phenomenal communicators who can explain and present concepts to technical and non-technical audiences alike, including high level decision makers.
- Solid foundation in Computer Science, with strong competencies in data structures, algorithms and software design.
- Financial Services or Insurance domain background is considered a plus
The salary range for this position takes into consideration a variety of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, level of experience, applicable office location, training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The new hire salary range displays the minimum and maximum salary targets for this position across all US locations, and the range has not been adjusted for any specific state differentials. It is not typical for a candidate to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the unique facts and circumstances regarding each candidate. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range for this position is $73,008 to $170,640.
