  • Full-Time, Rotating Shift
  • The Respiratory Therapist-Registered is responsible and accountable for delivering comprehensive respiratory care services and ensuring appropriate documentation in the medical record. The incumbent provides expert advice to medical staff on therapeutic modalities and collaborates to optimize patient outcomes.
  • In this role, you will administer respiratory therapies, monitor patient progress, and support the clinical team with specialized respiratory care. You will also assist with patient education and ensure compliance with departmental policies and procedures.
  • Location: Riley Hospital Respiratory Care
  •  Please Note: This is a 0.9 FTE Stork Team NICU and Labor & Delivery rotating position, with shifts occurring every 6 weeks from 7p – 7a and 7a – 7p.
 Requirements:
  • Current Indiana license as a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP).
  • Graduation from a CoARC-accredited respiratory care program.
  • Passing the NBRC (National Board for Respiratory Care) registry exam within 6 months of hire date (Note: this requirement is waived if the hire date is more than one year past graduation).
  • Healthcare Provider Certification. Additional certifications such as ACLS, PALS, and/or NRP are preferred.
  • Strong customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members.
  • Proficiency in basic computer skills and experience working with Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
  • Ability to handle sensitive patient information with confidentiality.
