Red Team Lead

As the Red Team Lead at Mysten Labs, you will hold a critical position responsible for orchestrating red team exercises, simulating real-world attacks, and identifying weaknesses in our blockchain's security posture. Your role is pivotal in enhancing our cybersecurity and ensuring the integrity of our blockchain.

Key Responsibilities:

Prevent Catastrophic Incidents:

• Orchestrate red team exercises and simulate real-world attacks to identify weaknesses in the blockchain's security posture.

• Lead efforts to evaluate the system's readiness against threats.

• Collaborate with threat modelers and penetration testers to assess and prioritize security risks.

• Conduct in-depth security assessments, including penetration testing and ethical hacking.

• Attempt to exploit vulnerabilities and provide actionable feedback for remediation.

• Develop and execute strategies for proactive threat detection and response.

Mitigate Regulatory and Compliance Risks:

• Ensure compliance with industry security standards and regulations, reducing the risk of unwanted public, policy, or regulatory incidents that could adversely affect our project's reputation and operations.

Minimize Incident Response Frequency and Cost:

• By proactively identifying and addressing security vulnerabilities, minimize the frequency and cost of incident response efforts, such as security breach investigations and system recovery.

Build Developer and Partner Confidence:

• Demonstrate a strong commitment to security to foster greater confidence among developer and partner communities. Provide clear evidence of your dedication to protecting their interests and assets.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field (advanced degree preferred).

• Proven experience in red teaming, ethical hacking, and security assessment.

• Strong knowledge of blockchain technology, smart contracts, and associated security risks.

• Familiarity with AI-driven security tools and methodologies.

• Experience with threat modeling and risk assessment.

• Excellent communication and leadership skills.

• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, innovative environment.

• Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CEH, OSCP) are a plus.
