About the Role: Category Manager

BAA is on the hunt for a strategic, data-driven Category Manager to lead the success of key product categories within our innovative and growing portfolio. In this high-impact role, you'll combine market insight with cross-functional collaboration to shape category strategies, optimize product offerings, and deliver measurable business results.

 

What You’ll Do

Category Strategy & Execution

  • Develop and implement category-specific strategies that align with our growth and profitability goals.
  • Drive decision-making rooted in customer needs, data insights, and brand vision.

Market & Consumer Insights

  • Conduct regular research and market analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and threats.
  • Leverage customer insights to enhance category direction and brand positioning.

Product Portfolio Management

  • Manage the full product lifecycle—from concept to end-of-life.
  • Optimize pricing, SKU performance, and launches to drive growth.

Vendor & Supplier Relations

  • Build strong relationships with vendors, negotiate contracts and terms, and ensure quality and value alignment.
  • Partner with key brands to develop compelling marketing programs across BAA’s House of Brands.

Sales, Profitability & Inventory

  • Monitor category performance against sales and margin goals.
  • Collaborate with inventory and supply chain teams to balance stock levels and seasonal demand.

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Work closely with Marketing, Merchandising, Finance, and Ops to execute category plans.
  • Align promotional and go-to-market strategies with broader business goals.

Performance Reporting

  • Deliver regular reports and insights to senior leadership to inform strategic direction.

 

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA a plus.
  • 3–5+ years in category management, merchandising, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical chops and experience with tools like Excel, Power BI, or Tableau.
  • Proven track record of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Experience with vendor management and e-commerce or wholesale environments is highly preferred.
