POSITION SUMMARY
TransMedics is transforming organ transplantation through the Organ Care System (OCS). Our Accounting team plays a vital role in supporting daily financial operations and ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across the organization.
The Accounting Intern will primarily support Accounts Payable operations, including invoice processing, data entry, and communication with internal stakeholders for approvals and issue resolution. This role provides hands-on exposure to corporate accounting processes while helping develop organizational skills, attention to detail, and professional communication abilities. In addition to Accounts Payable, the intern may assist with projects in other areas of accounting such as fixed assets, inter-company transactions, and cash-related processes.
This internship is ideal for students interested in business, accounting, or finance who want to gain real-world corporate experience.
RESPONSIBILITIES
This position is responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
Accounts Payable Support
- Perform invoice data entry and processing
- Assist with tracking and resolving invoice discrepancies
- Communicate with TransMedics team members regarding invoice approvals
- Support issue resolution in a timely and professional manner
Accounting Projects & Cross-Functional Support
- Assist with projects related to fixed assets, intercompany transactions, or cash processes
- Support reconciliation and documentation activities
- Maintain organized records and ensure accuracy in financial documentation
Professional Development
- Develop professional written communication skills
- Strengthen organizational and time management skills
- Gain exposure to corporate accounting systems and workflows

MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES
This position does not have direct reports.
PHYSICAL ATTRIBUTES
- General office environment where there is a significant amount of time at a desk, working on computers and reviewing documents. This requires the ability to sit for extended periods. They also may need to stand for meetings or when moving around the office.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Senior
- Willingness to learn and take on new tasks
- Strong organizational skills
- Professional written communication skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a structured environment
