Avantor is looking for a dedicated Materials Controller or Stock Handler to optimize our Avantor team. Are you currently working in a retail, hospitality, warehouse, or stock room and looking to elevate your experience?

This will be a full-time permanent position based at our customer site in Shanbally, Cork. A full driving license and own vehicle is highly desirable due to the location.

As a Material Controller or Stock Handler for Avantor, you will support us in a pharmaceutical Stores area by performing key tasks such as: inventory management, stock purchasing, receiving stock, and general customer service.

Working hours: 07:30-16:00 Monday-Thurs, 07:30-15:00 Friday

Primary Location: Shanbally, Ringaskiddy, Co. Cork, Ireland

What we’re looking for  

• Education: Leaving Certificate is required 

• Experience: Longevity and consistent work history is desirable. This can be general warehouse, hospitality, or retail.   
• Additional experience: Friendly and hard working - we are open to considering all backgrounds!
• Collaboration Tool: Good IT skills required (including Microsoft Word/Excel/Outlook) preferred

• You thrive off a challenge and are not afraid to get really stuck in
• Have a driving license and own vehicle, and can commute easily to Shanbally
• Comfortable working in customer-centric environments

• Receive inbound deliveries
• Deal with courier/customer queries
• Handle hazardous material and prepare shipping documentation and packaging requirements as required
• Maintain stock movement records, including stock cycle counts, ensuring that any discrepancies are investigated
