The 4-H & Natural Resources Educator is responsible for delivering programs on topics including but not limited to 4-H Shooting Sports, the Wildlife Habitat Education Program, 4-H Adirondack Guide program, wild edibles, and other youth and natural resources programs. This position also assists with planning, managing, and coordinating programs and events (e.g., Youth Fair, environmental field days, State Teen Action Retreat (STAR)). The Educator serves as a subject matter resource and often partners with community organizations and others to reach the residents of Warren County. Programs are delivered primarily through schools, homeschool groups, afterschool programming, and special interest programs that meet the needs of the community.
The Educator frequently collaborates in delivery of programs with other members of the CCE Warren team and colleagues in regional and statewide programs.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree. Associate’s degree plus 2 years transferrable program/functional experience may substitute for a Bachelor’s degree
Experience relevant to the role of the position.
Travel Requirements - Ability to meet the regular travel requirements associated with this position. A valid NYS driver's license with the ability to drive and driving record acceptable for Association insurance coverage are required. Transports youth participants in Association vehicles.
Ability to work flexible hours, which may include evenings, overnights and/or weekends, as appropriate.
Program Skills – Ability to effectively deliver related programs. Serve as an effective subject matter resource. Maintain program data confidentiality.
Communication & Marketing Skills - Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing; ability to effectively market programs.
Technology Skills - Proficiency with or ability to learn Microsoft Office suite, database, internet and virtual presentation software.
