Director/VP, Risk Data Analytics

About the role
We are seeking experienced risk data scientists to join our risk department, which help manage the risk across Crypto.com Derivatives North America (CDNA) Exchange and Clearing business. The main responsibilities of the risk data scientist include designing risk data analytics and reporting, sourcing market data and historical data, validating and cleaning data to ensure quality data for margin calculation, stress testing and various data analysis. Responsibilities

• Identify the risk data elements and metrics for new products clearing.
• Explore historical price data sourcing or design data models for synthetic price data construction.
• Establish techniques and metrics to profile and validate historical price data quality and market price quality.
• Design and implement data models for data cleaning which serves as the inputs of risk modeling and margin calculation, stress testing and various data analysis.
• Develop and implement the data analytics to automate data management and reporting.
• Coordinate with risk quant, risk managers closely to collect data for stress scenario analysis, liquidity analysis and guarantee fund analysis on a regular basis.
• Design and develop risk analytics and reporting tools for measuring, monitoring and reporting risks, which include tools for back testing, stress testing, sensitivity testing, margin parameter calibration, and collateral valuation etc. Design and develop other risk reporting including margin monitoring, liquidity reporting and additional regulatory required risk reporting.
• Closely engage with other team members from product, risk, legal, finance, compliance, and technology teams, providing data requirements to the technology team for development in production systems.

Requirements

• Masters in Math, Finance, Physics, Computer Science or similar quantitative fields required
• 8+ years of related work experience in data analytics or modeling, excellent time series skills
• Proficient programming skills in Python and SQL, hands on to build efficient data table schema
• Creative, innovative, and passionate in data science and derivatives business
• Strong oral communication and documentation skills
• Strong analytical skills and being a problem solver.
• Ability to work under their own initiative, in support of a strategic end goal.
• Knowledge in crypto and blockchain industry and markets data is a plusExperience using ML and AI in data science is a plus
