About the role
<p>As a Senior User Experience Researcher, you will use your knowledge of methodologies and perspectives of social science research as it applies to digital product design. You will lead research at the team level and are capable of managing all research aspects across the portfolio. You will leverage mixed methods approaches to understand and extract meaningful patterns of user behaviour and attitudes. Your work will generate user experience insights that will move our products forward.</p>

<p>We're looking for a research leader who can see beyond what we do today and can execute on a vision for what it could become. You will work with product and design teams to support the planning and execution of research that enables Nokia to better understand its customers.</p>
<p>As part of the team, you will:</p>
<ul>
<li>Bring knowledge of methodology and practices of social science research to design and research projects</li>
<li>Support cross-functional team members and product functions to set research objectives and key metrics, and research roadmap planning</li>
<li>Support and conduct empirical research in order to understand and extract meaningful patterns of user behaviour</li>
<li>Generate user experience insights that will move our products forward</li>
<li>Experience moderating qualitative research</li>
<li>Design and conduct studies that address both user behaviour and attitudes. </li>
<li>Have the ability to do a range of research types from usability testing to exploratory discovery projects</li>
<li>Prioritizes the optimal research methods to be used to maximize results with the most efficiency</li>
<li>Mentoring other researchers on the team.<br/><br/> </li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Your skills and experience</strong></p>
<p>You have</p>
<ul>
<li>6+ years’ experience in applied product research</li>
<li>Bachelor’s or Master's degree or diploma in HCI, Psychology, Anthropology, Sociology, or a related field</li>
<li>An enthusiasm for interdisciplinary collaboration with designers, engineers, developers, and product teams</li>
<li>Experience moderating qualitative research</li>
<li>Experience in compiling and analyzing qualitative data</li>
<li>The ability to lead and manage research projects and budgets</li>
<li>An empathetic and analytical to approach human-centered research</li>
<li>Strong ability to communicate results of research to interdisciplinary and lay audiences</li>
</ul>
<p>It would be nice if you also had: </p>
<ul>
<li>Experience working on complex B2B enterprise applications</li>
<li>Experience in visual and illustrative communication</li>
<li>Experience in design thinking techniques<br/><br/> </li>
