Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Manager of Human Resources to lead HR initiatives at a major military installation. This role offers an exciting opportunity to oversee comprehensive human resources functions, including talent acquisition, employee relations, benefits administration, and workforce management. Duties

  • Lead human capital management efforts by developing and executing strategies for talent acquisition, employee orientation, performance management.
  • Oversee employment law compliance, including FMLA (Family and Medical Leave Act), OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration), workers' compensation, and labor law adherence.
  • Manage employee relations initiatives to promote a positive workplace culture, resolve conflicts effectively, and support employee engagement.
  • Administer benefits programs utilizing systems to ensure accurate data entry and benefits communication.
  • Develop and implement organizational design strategies and workforce management solutions using multiple programs powered by Oracle.
  • Coordinate recruiting efforts through ATS platforms such as myRecruit; conduct interviews and oversee onboarding processes to attract top talent.
  • Facilitate training & development programs to enhance employee skills; conduct employee evaluations; support HR sourcing initiatives to meet staffing needs.

 

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in human resources management with a strong understanding of human capital management principles.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of employment & labor law regulations including FMLA, OSHA standards, workers' compensation policies, and affirmative action planning.
  • Skilled in change management methodologies and project management to lead organizational initiatives effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships across diverse teams; adept at conflict management and negotiation.
  • Strong organizational skills with experience in data collection, data entry, contracts administration, social media management for recruiting purposes, and administrative functions.

What we offer

The pay range for this role is $62,375.04 - $93,562.56, and our comprehensive benefits package includes paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401k, room discounts, and many other benefits to eligible employees. The pay range for this role is only applicable for jobs performed in Joint Base Lewis-McChord, WA
