This position plays a key role in driving safe, efficient, and high-quality manufacturing operations by leading production and packaging teams, supporting production performance, and ensuring compliance with food safety and regulatory standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Create and implement daily staffing plans for Production and Packaging. Train employees and ensure compliance with Safety practices, GMPs, and SOPs.
- Approve and manage employee vacation schedules and daily attendance reporting.
- Translate and execute the daily production schedule; ensure accurate batch preparation and customer labeling.
- Coordinate with Warehouse to ensure raw materials are staged for production.
- Implement food safety and quality procedures (e.g., HACCP) on the production floor. Maintain accurate documentation and training materials.
- Troubleshoot and resolve personnel and equipment issues in coordination with the Operations Manager.
- Ensure timely filter changes, product changeovers, sanitation prep, and equipment readiness.
- Schedule and communicate break times.
- Prepare daily production documentation.
- Assist Operations Manager in meeting WDA, FDA, and USDA compliance.
- Track attendance, timekeeping, and safety violations.
- Lead team to meet productivity, quality, and safety goals.
- Oversee employee training, maintain training records, and assist with performance reviews.
- Monitor adherence to safety practices and provide feedback, recognition, and disciplinary action when needed.
- Support performance management, employee relations, coaching, and development.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies related to food safety, quality, and health regulations.
- Report any issues that could compromise food safety.
EXPERIENCE AND REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Qualifications
- Associate Degree in Supervisory Management, Manufacturing, or related field or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of 7 years of manufacturing experience, preferably in food production, including supervisory responsibility
- Working knowledge of HACCP, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and food safety regulations
- Strong people leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Authorization to work in the United States
Desired Qualifications
- 3 year’s experience supervising a production workforce, with food companies, and ideally a cheese company preferred.
- Familiarity with food production
