About the role

Responsible to develop, coordinate and provide educational programs to maintain or improve the competency of clinical care providers.  Activities includes orientation, training, inservice education and skills validation for a house-wide and/or unit-based audience.  Attends to the organization educational needs on all shifts.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree Nursing Baccalaureate degree (BSN) from an accredited school of nursing.
  • Applicants without a BSN degree must actively pursue and attain a BSN within five years of hire. Continued employment by Swedish beyond five years is contingent upon attaining the BSN degree.
  • Upon hire: Washington Registered Nurse License 
  • 2 years Clinical experience.
  • Experience developing and providing education in a health care setting.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Registered Nurses employed by Swedish prior to December 1, 2012 are encouraged to pursue the BSN degree, but obtaining the degree will not be a condition of employment.
  • Upon hire: Teaching degree or equivalent experience
  • May require recent clinical experience in a specific specialty area such as oncology or surgical nursing.

The amounts listed are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
