Job Description

HII Mission Technologies is seeking a Field Technician to drive precise, reliable execution of field installations and system testing, applying strong engineering judgment and hands‑on expertise to support mission‑focused solutions.

 

Salary for this position will be determined based on the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and skill set, while also considering internal equity and market competitiveness.
 
Level 2 - $46,286 - $66,123
Level 3 - $55,455 - $79,222
Level 4 - $65,065 - $92,950

Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Execute, track, and document platform integration activities, providing technical leadership for installation efforts and ensuring compliance with engineering, safety, and security standards.
  • Design, analyze, and troubleshoot electrical and electronic circuits, wiring schematics, and complex interconnect systems; fabricate harnesses and wiring assemblies as required.
  • Conduct hands on installation, integration, and testing of systems, applying engineering principles to adapt standard procedures, resolve technical issues, and ensure system functionality.
  • Utilize a broad range of test equipment—including multimeters, oscilloscopes, power systems, and data acquisition systems—to test, measure, and diagnose digital, analog, and RF signal waveforms.
  • Draft, review, and maintain technical procedures, engineering documentation, and test plans; assist in developing test procedures and supporting engineering change activities.

Minimum Qualifications

  • LEVEL 2 - Associates Degree or other 2 year technical degree in related discipline and 1 year of related experience; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 3 years related experience.
  • LEVEL 3 - Associates Degree or other 2 year technical degree in related discipline and 3 years of related experience; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 5 years related experience. 
  • LEVEL 4 - Associates Degree or other 2 year technical degree in related discipline and 6 years related experience or High School Diploma or equivalent and 8 years related experience.
  • Ability to read, interpret and understand installation work packets, drawings, and schematics.
  • Experience working with test equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and power systems.
  • Clearance: Active Secret Clearance.

Physical Requirements

Job performance requires adequate visual acuity and manual dexterity for meeting the requirements of the job. A waterfront office work environment is normally encountered.
