To advance the purpose of InterVarsity, this position will maximize the effectiveness of Salesforce for InterVarsity’s Alumni Relations teams through reporting, dashboard creation, and improved overall usability by the team. The goal is to deliver an effective Salesforce experience through optimizing Salesforce to meet operational and strategic objectives of InterVarsity – and specifically the Alumni Relations team. This role will work with various stakeholders to make informed recommendations and decisions on strategy, developing a roadmap of Alumni Relations priorities in partnership with the Associate Director of Alumni Development and Operations. The role will collaborate with IT Developers and Ministry Intelligence, and external consultants as needed.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

Coordinate and lead the maximization and effectiveness of Salesforce for the Alumni Relations team by: 

  • Develop a thorough understanding of Development and Alumni Relations to translate it into the Salesforce technology platform(s)
  • Create reports that serve Alumni Relation's annual and strategic plan purposes.
  • Lead Salesforce training for Alumni Relations staff and team members as needed.
  • Provide recommendations and best practices for Salesforce.
  • Learn Salesforce and become an expert in it.
  • Stay current with industry standards to explore new features and implement accordingly
  • Advocate, propose, and participate in Salesforce projects to help maximize ROI

Organizational Collaboration:

  • In partnership with the Alumni Leadership Team, develop a Salesforce roadmap of future prioritized projects.
  • Partner with the Information Technology team, Ministry Intelligence Team, and the Development team through planning for implications of changes in each system as needed.
  • Work effectively cross multiple teams to see Salesforce be successful – pulling together appropriate people and teams to accomplish the goals and projects as needed.
  • Learn and understand Development stakeholders’ history and respective needs.
  • Present high-level strategy reports, recommendations, and consultation to Alumni Relations leaders and give options for appropriate decisions.
  • Promote healthy change management around Salesforce functions, including assisting in framing communications.
  • Partner with the Alumni Relations team and other internal departments in the establishment and creation of methods and tools that can be used to measure impact.
  • Collaborate to develop technology solutions to replace manual processes as needed.
  • Serve as a liaison to internal and external networks and work groups as needed.
  • Manage project teams, priorities, and tasks while monitoring processes and resolving problems
  • Project manage using Wrike to move Salesforce projects from idea to implementation.
  • Partner with various teams and committees to ensure data privacy and security.

Maintain sound finances:

  • Develop a personal support team for prayer and financial support through visits, phone calls, and regular prayer letters with support and training from InterVarsity
  • Reviewing financial reports for accuracy and to ensure spending is within budget
  • Provide appropriate reports, plans and budgets on time and within budget

This position is funded through personal fundraising. Accordingly, compensation will vary based on the ability of the individual to secure a donor team to fund the cost of his/her salary. The anticipated salary range for this position on a full-time basis (40 hours/week) is dependent on a variety of factors, including location and cost of living. The actual salary received is subject to the individual’s ability to raise funds necessary to cover the full amount of the salary range noted in the job posting.
