About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Lead Strategy & Planning Consultant to join our Enterprise Partnerships team. This team is centered on maintaining and developing relationships with some of Wells Fargo’s largest external partners, seeking new opportunities at the overlap of strategy, customer needs, and technology. This individual will lead key relationships, in collaboration with our Technology and Banking teams, to holistically understand alignment, increase the value of our overall relationship, and identify collaborative opportunities to solve customer problems and drive business impact. The Enterprise Partnerships team works in close collaboration with Wells Fargo’s internal innovation team, so the individual will also be able to help inform and inspire new offers, products and services across Wells Fargo’s businesses, as well as find potential partners to drive further definition and exploration of new growth concepts. We’re looking for someone who is deeply people-focused and endlessly curious to expand and realize the potential of these meaningful partnerships.

In this role, you will:

  • Work between external partners, technology leads, banking leads, and business leaders to identify strategic priorities, and how best to leverage external partnerships thought leadership and capabilities to drive significant growth and differentiation

  • Provide direction to leverage the best use of partnerships to achieve Wells Fargo’s enterprise goals via a deep understanding of the partner’s strategy and capabilities, enterprise strategies, and technology capabilities and requirements

  • Deeply understand business needs and strategies from lines of business across Wells Fargo, and be able to define the tangible opportunity and value of working with a partner to achieve strategic goals

  • Connect the right business and customer needs with partners to drive value, disposition initiatives and set them up for success

  • Drive high-value initiatives with and across partners, including projects to co-develop new products and services

  • Clearly define opportunities blending Wells Fargo business, product and technology capabilities with partner expertise and capabilities, outline opportunities and create the conditions for partner cocreation efforts

  • Work with senior business and strategy leaders to understand needs, align them with our partnership strategy, and facilitate the right process, while effectively managing stakeholders

  • Set strategies for your named partners, contribute to the overall Enterprise Partnerships strategies, and execute/evolve that strategy to meet changing business needs and goals

Required Qualifications:  

  • 7+ years of Strategy and Planning experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

  • 3+ years of experience in a Partnerships or business development focused role

Desired Qualifications: 

  • Demonstrated ability to develop, maintain and build relationships, anchored on identifying overlaps in capabilities and strategic intent

  • Ability to program and project management complex initiatives with multiple stakeholders

  • Knowledge of and/or experience in the financial services ecosystem

  • Experience with technology partners and organizations, and new product development

  • Ability to effectively partner and influence at the executive level, including excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Ability to coordinate, lead, and facilitate events

Job Expectations:

  • This position is not eligible for Visa sponsorship

  • This position is a hybrid work model. Must be willing to work out of the San Francisco, Menlo Park, or New York office approximately 3 days a week
