ABOUT THE ROLE
The Lead Estimator acts as a team lead for Estimating and oversees the gathering of manufacturing job specifications and creation of estimate price quotes for jobs produced in-house as well as jobs produced at outside sources. They are a key team member assigned to the continuous improvement of Pace as it relates to estimates and jobs. This position requires a high level of knowledge regarding the multiple production, printing, and paper finishing processes/capabilities.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Enter estimates into the company software program and distribute them to both sales and project management.
- Ability to configure efficient press form layouts when necessary.
- Create an ultimate client satisfaction mentality and approach.
- Has a high level of organization and understanding of multiple print and paper finishing production processes.
- Coordinate with production staff to achieve the best approach to producing successful finished products.
- Is a team expert on best practices both within the database and in production for the purpose of getting accurate pricing.
- Is a Pace expert and can update key portions of the database as needed.
- Train new and existing staff on best practices within the database and estimate execution.
- Possess a proactive approach to identify and solve problems before they arise.
- Incorporate DCG ONE’s vision and values into day-to-day activities and behaviors.
- Adhere to all facets of safety policies and procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS
- At least three years of estimating experience.
- High level of knowledge as it pertains to the multiple production, printing, and paper finishing processes/capabilities.
- Four-year college degree preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Prolonged sitting and extensive data entry and typing

WORK ENVIRONMENT
This position is predominantly held in a clerical environment and may also involve working or accessing the production floor in an industrial warehouse setting.
