PROJECT/TASK MANAGER - IT PROJECT MANAGER

MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT
As a Project/Task Manager, the work you’ll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of our government and defense customers. You will play a crucial role in leading the successful delivery of enterprise IT projects that improve operational efficiency, security, and capability across mission-critical environments.

● Lead cross-functional teams through the full project lifecycle—including planning, execution, delivery, and post-implementation—ensuring IT solutions are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with mission goals.

● Collaborate with stakeholders, engineering teams, security, vendors, and customer leadership to define requirements, manage priorities, and ensure alignment with evolving mission needs.

● Drive effective risk management, proactive issue resolution, and continuous improvement, using Agile and traditional project management frameworks to deliver consistent, high-quality outcomes.

● Utilize tools and methodologies such as Microsoft Project, JIRA, Confluence, ServiceNow, and PMBOK/PMP practices to track progress, manage scope, and report metrics.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED

● Education: Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science
● Experience: 5+ years of related experience managing IT or infrastructure projects
● Technical skills: Microsoft Project, JIRA, Confluence, ServiceNow, Agile/Scrum, ITIL, SDLC methodologies
● Security clearance level: TS/SCI
● US citizenship required
● Role requirements: On-site role; occasional travel (~10%); experience supporting federal contracts or regulated IT environments preferred

The likely salary range for this position is $144,500 - $195,500. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
