Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) is seeking a Supplier Program Management Specialist to support the Maritime & Intelligence Systems team in Herndon, VA!

The desired candidate shall have knowledge of suppliers' capabilities to support Boeing production including but not limited to production, technical, service and design management. The candidate shall have knowledge and experience with business systems, organizational structure, manufacturing processes, risk mitigation, capacity planning, past/present delivery performance, design definition, program directives, engineering drawings, change memos, wiring diagrams and schematics, functional tests, and supplier data. The candidate shall have knowledge of various engineering disciplines such as electrical, mechanical, and systems. The candidate shall have the ability to communicate with technical personnel from multiple skill areas and functions to evaluate technical information and issues impacting design, production, and support of products, services, or other deliverables.

Position Responsibilities:  

  • Leads technical and business guidance to integrate strategic supply chain activities
  • Leads stakeholder relationships and performance throughout all contract phases.
  • Conducts and guides supplier assessments
  • Develops current and projected work statement.
  • Leads and establishes the basis for recovery, corrective and preventative action plans
  • Communicates supplier and organization performance plans risks, issues and opportunities to stakeholders
  • Develops and executes work movement plans

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • More than 5 years of experience in negotiating contracts or managing supplier performance
  • More than 5 years of experience in program management within supplier management

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Technical Bachelor's, Master's or a PhD degree. (A technical degree is defined as any four year degree, or greater, in a mathematic, scientific or information technology field of study)
  • More than 5 years of experience working in Supply Chain Management, Finance, Quality, or Program Management
  • More than 5 years of experience with proposal development and contract negotiations
  • More than 5 years of experience in root cause analysis and Corrective action

Summary pay range: $118,150 – $145,950

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Top Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
