In the context of our expansion in Europe, we are looking for our Head of Middle Office in France.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Monitor the functioning of all trading systems and platforms.
- Monitors the streaming of stock pricing throughout the whole stock market session, ensuring it is in line with market participants and exchanges.
- Assists clients and colleagues with queries regarding stock trading and other instruments available for use by the client.
- Reconciles the orders executed on a continuous basis.
- Responsible for monitoring and assessing the Best Execution requirements of the Company.
- Investigates and resolves client complaints and requests regarding stocks trading.
- Liaises with internal and external parties in regards to the pricing and execution of orders.
- Investigates irregular transactions of clients and potential market abuse.
- Performs competitive analysis and highlights potential improvements and new market trends in regards to the stock market.
- Helps Support teams in handling trade related queries and complaints, while resolving them in a timely and professional manner.
- Carries out trade surveillance, investigates irregular activity across a wide range of asset classes and reports any suspicious activities to the Compliance department.
- Works on developing new tools to facilitate daily operations.
- Produces necessary complex reports as required by company’s management and regulatory bodies.
- Performs any additional duties and localised tasks as and when is required, working cross functionally (aka with Compliance etc) as required
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years in a brokerage department at a similar financial institution
- Holding an AMF certification is a plus
- College or University Degree in Finance, Mathematics, Economics, or any other related field.
- Experience with transferable securities.
- Fluency in English, both oral and written. Knowledge of French is a plus.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- You're a problem-solver and have the ability to identify root causes of issues through rigorous logic and thought. Subsequently the ability to execute, implement process, and scale.
- Proven experience in building and managing teams.
- Superb attention to detail.
- Excellent team player.
