Senior Backend Software Engineer, Risk and Response - Trust and Safety

The Trust and Safety(TnS) engineering team are responsible for protecting our users from harmful content and abusive behaviors. With the continuous efforts of our trust and safety engineering team, TikTok can provide the best user experience and bring joy to everyone in the world.



We are building an engineering team dedicated to Trust and Safety's Risk and Response business. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams (XFN) that include Product Managers, Machine Learning Engineers, Data Scientists, and QAs, to establish public trust through providing solutions to support risk and response business, especially escalation handling.



Key Responsibilities

- Build a highly scalable, efficient and robust trust, and safety platform and tools;

- Understand product objectives to develop an easy-to-use platform that aligns with customers' needs;

- Involved in Red Team business, assessing the effectiveness of existing defense systems by deploying adversarial samples, identifying weaknesses in the defense system, and driving specific optimization initiatives.

- Utilize tools and mechanisms for vulnerability detection, discovery, analysis, reproduction, monitoring, and handling. Build standardized and well-designed toolchain and platform-based capabilities.

- Improve system design and architecture to ensure high stability and performance of the services;

- Work with Trust and Safety teams to protect TikTok globally.
