Software Development Engineer in Test 2 - Barcelona

We’re revolutionizing the way people monitor their glucose levels with our new sensing technology.  Our Diabetes division in  Barcelona, Spain currently has an opportunity for a Software V&amp;V Test Engineer. </span></p><p></p><p><b><span>WHAT YOU’LL DO</span></b> </p><ul><li>Complete software testing and activities in conjunction for user stories within the Agile SDLC process (products supported may be more technical in nature, i.e. SDK or API type products)</li><li>Create or consult on verification and validation test plans, test reports, trace matrices to incorporate the automated tests and review with relevant stakeholders (dev and quality)</li><li>Create an automation framework for mobile apps (iOS and Android)</li><li>Develop and improve robust test automation framework.  Ensure the framework works in conjunction with the Quality Management system as well as provides strong and quick feedback for Agile development.  Ensure the framework covers functional, end to end, compatibility and use case scenarios.  This will also require working with DevOps and other teams to integrate test automation with build systems, test management system, and device cloud.</li><li>Develop and execute mobile application as well as watch compatibility test plan</li><li>Develop automated metric tools for management purposes</li><li>Provide feedback and suggest improvements to the Agile SDLC process</li></ul><p></p><p><b><span>EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE, YOU’LL BRING</span></b> </p><p><b><span>Required</span></b> </p><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience, in a scientific, technical, or engineering discipline.  </li><li>4 years’ experience in Software Testing and/or Software Quality Assurance.  </li><li>2 years’ experience working as Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET)</li><li>Must be technically strong and have experience testing mobile applications</li><li>Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.  </li></ul><p><b><span>Preferred</span></b> </p><ul><li><span>Medical Device experience strongly preferred.</span></li><li><span>Experience in an agile development environment preferred. </span></li><li><span>Experience with embedded systems and integration testing with external systems preferred</span></li><li><span>Cyber security, medical mobile applications or cloud computing experience preferred. </span></li></ul><p></p><p>  </p><p><b><span>Learn more about our benefits that add real value to your life to help you live fully:  </span></b><a href="http://www.abbottbenefits.com/pages/candidate.aspx" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank"><span><span>www.abbottbenefits.com</span></span></a>  </p><p><span>Follow your career aspirations to Abbott for diverse opportunities with a company that provides the growth and strength to build your future.
