IT Project Manager

Overview

Oversees the completion of complex, technical projects while meeting time, scope, and budgetary requirements. This is accomplished by managing project resources, ensuring the completion of project tasks and monitoring adherence to project management process standards. Effectively manages risk by tracking and following up on all items which could prevent/delay project completion. Applies knowledge of best practices for project administration to include resource allocation, task planning and progress reporting. This role may support a variety of functional areas including but not limited to: network, telecom, hosting, cloud engineering, critical infrastructure, IT service management and delivery, and other strategic IT projects.

Duties

The successful candidate will be able to help define project scope, identify project resource needs, create project initiation documents, author a project management plan, possess a forward look into overall project delivery and develop relationships with external and internal stakeholders, including C-level executives. Responsible for managing both inflight projects and launching new efforts. Must be able to work closely with internal as well as external customer teams on project delivery. Ensures that project status, risks, issues and successes are communicated to project team, stakeholders, and all levels of management, and documented appropriately.

Education

Bachelor's degree in business, information technology, or related field preferred (or significant years of experience in-lieu of).

Experience

• 5+ years of project management work experience which includes: estimating, staffing, managing, controlling, administering, budgeting and executing technical project efforts for the full lifecycle.• Working effectively in an Agile/Scrum environment required.• Experience with IT Operational projects such as: network, telecom, cloud, storage/compute, security, application migrations, etc. preferred.• Experience managing concurrent projects of varying sizes and complexities required.• PMP Certification preferred.

• Proven track record of successfully completing a variety of (both standalone and concurrent) projects.• Experience in delivery of technology projects like product development, implementation of tools or systems integration projects.• Proven ability to assess technical project specifications, understand and explain technical requirements, make resource recommendations, engage in technical discussions regarding requirements and features.• Demonstrated experience in project management disciplines and standardized process and procedures.• Ability to break down complex situations/projects into pieces for project planning.• Experience creating clear, accurate project and portfolio reports / dashboards .• Strong experience scheduling, preparing presentations and status reports.• Proven ability in leading and participating in simultaneous projects.• Demonstrated experience effectively leading and managing collaborative, cross-functional relationships.• Ability to perform multiple tasks ranging from project management to coaching other team members.• Ability to motivate and lead virtual teams of remote resources.• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with diverse audiences, in both oral and written contexts.• May include review/assessment of agreements/contracts related to applications/vendors/acquisitions.• May require arbitrating and documenting finalized business decisions between differing perspectives related to FNF application assets.• May require some familiarity with not only existing, but future opportunities for application use and contribution to the Company.• May assist in the review process for finalizing decisions on consolidations, as well as target applications and final disposition of data/documents residing in the systems.• May assist in defining the Key Performance Indicators and provide weekly/monthly progress towards achieving the program’s goals.  • May assist in the development of process documentation and/or refining of project templates and artifacts.

 

ADDITIONAL SKILLS:

 

• Required advanced level skills in Microsoft applications, including:o Project Onlineo Project Servero Excel (macros, pivot tables, database queries/interfaces) o Wordo PowerPointo Visio • ServiceNow experience preferred• Microsoft TFS/Azure DevOps experience preferred• SharePoint experience preferred
