CNA for Night Shift, Part-Time

Park Place of St. John, a Independent Living Community, located in St. John, IN is seeking Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for Night Shift, Part Time. Park Place of St. John is a member of the Providence Life Services family where we are committed to enhancing the lives of those we serve!

Night Shift Hours: 10:00PM - 8:00AM. Must be able to work every other Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

Summary of essential job functions:

• This position will combine reduced CNA responsibilities and the security role.
• Safeguarding the building and verifying all exit doors are locked and secure.
• Operate the phone system and respond to calls to the building.
• Respond to the Safety Alarm Response Alert System.
• Contact emergency medical service providers when warranted.
• Monitor activity in hallways and perform routine rounds of the community.
• Distribute the morning newspapers to proper resident rooms.
• Respond to emergency situations such as fire, water, power outages etc.
• Report any building repairs, cleaning, lights out etc. to the Environmental Department.
• Complete Daily Report regarding overnight shift events to General Manager.
• Other related duties and responsibilities as directed by facility manager.
• Seeking a candidate with previous caregiver experience in a retirement and or healthcare community.
• Training provided on Security responsibilities.
• Candidate must have the ability to communicate effectively with elderly individuals, other personnel, family members and visitors.
• Candidate must be patient, enthusiastic and have a cheerful disposition.

Requirements

• Must be Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in the state of Indiana.
• 1-2 years of CNA experience preferred.
• Pass a physical, drug screen, 50-pound lift test, fingerprint for criminal background and complete a reference check.
