About the role

Radius Recycling is seeking an Oracle Business Analyst to join the Oracle team. This position will be the liaison between business users and IT and will be responsible for providing day-to-day production support activities related to Oracle EBS system and other business processes. This is an exciting opportunity to work with Oracle eBusiness Suite and Oracle Fusion Cloud in the near future.

Essential Functions:

Successful candidate in this role will be responsible for the flowing functions:

  • Supporting users by troubleshooting and resolving issues related to Oracle EBS and various other applications in collaboration with end-users, Help Desk, technical and other functional resources as well as external support provider.
  • Create and maintain process documentation and knowledge base.
  • Build test scenarios or test cases for functional testing, coordinate regression testing for issue resolution or new functionalities implementation.
  • Ability to support critical production issues throughout the work week, especially during the month-end period close. At various times this may include weeknights and/or weekends.
  • Development of functional requirements or specification documents based on the user requirements or issues.
  • Monitor and manage various critical interfaces to make sure data issues are resolved in a timely manner by working with various cross-functional groups and IT.
  • Identify and assist with automation of repetitive tasks for efficiency gains. Create process flows and document specifications for the technical team to design, build and implement the solution.
  • Assist with system configuration, testing and implementation of new or existing functionalities.
  • Able to write basic SQL scripts to research issues. Run ad-hoc reports for end- users. Help users with issues related to BI report questions/issues.
  • Perform other related tasks as assigned.

Internal Control Responsibilities:

Supports the Company’s Internal Control process which includes understanding, communicating, and complying with defined internal controls as well as suggesting and making modifications to the policies, procedures, and controls to better relate to the business. 

Communicates upward problems in operations, noncompliance with the code of conduct, or other policy violations or illegal actions.     

Job Conditions:

Average office environment with little natural light. Occasional exposure to dirt and dust related to scrap yard environment.  Work pressure can be substantial during peak times, requiring considerable adaptability.  Some overtime may be required to complete deadline work.  Some travel may be required between locations within the region.  

Physical Activities Required to Perform Essential Functions:

Ability to: sit for up to eight hours per day; keyboard for extended periods of time, navigate around an average office environment; communicate by speech and hearing in person or by phone in a professional manner. Visual acuity to perform close detail work, operating a computer and related parts. 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, information system, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of direct work experience as an analyst capacity working with business systems and support.
  • Understanding of Financial Accounting Systems like General Ledger, Payables, Receivables, etc. as well as Supply Chain Systems for e.g., Procurement, Inventory, etc.
  • Prior knowledge of Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) is required.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with various departments and end-users.
  • Exposure to change management and SOX controls will be beneficial.
  • Basic SQL (Structured Query Language) knowledge preferred. Experience with Oracle BI a plus.
  • Possess excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
