Job Summary

Evaluate and advise individuals to assist recovery from or avoid athletic-related injuries or illnesses, or maintain peak physical fitness. Administer therapy treatments and procedures under supervision of a Sentara sports medicine physician.

BOC (Board of Cert) Certified or eligible. Depending on location, North Carolina or Virginia Board of Medicine Licensed Athletic Trainer or eligible Required. Bachelor's degree or 6 years of related experience in lieu of degree required.

Qualifications:

BLD - Bachelor's Level Degree: Athletic Training

Athletic Trainer License (LAT) - State license - North Carolina Board of Athletic Trainer Examiners (NCBATE), Athletic Trainer License (LAT) - State license - Other/National, Athletic Trainer License (LAT) - State license - Virginia Department of Health Professionals (VADHP), Basic Life Support (BLS) - Certification - American Heart Association (AHA) RQI, Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) - Certification - Board of Certifcation for the Athletic Trainer (BOC)
