As an Agilent Field Service Engineer, you will work with various laboratories. A passion for continuous learning about new instruments, software, and consumables is key. Effective communication, creativity, and a proactive approach are fundamental to success in this role. Your commitment to resolving customer challenges and providing exceptional customer service will be critical to fostering customer success.


Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing support to our customers through on-site installation, implementation, maintenance, and repair of company and multi-vendor system solutions. Our broad range of products includes hardware, software, networking products, and operating systems.
  •  Installing and optimizing hardware/software/network configurations at customer sites.
  •  Diagnosing and resolving performance-related issues with products.
  • Performing maintenance and repairs.
  • Ensuring customer satisfaction by recommending preventive maintenance and configurations that may improve product performance.
  • Proactively identifying potential equipment problems to help prevent unexpected disruptions to customer operations.
  • Delivering comprehensive solutions including peripherals, communications, operating systems, and application software.
  • Sharing knowledge and training other field engineers and customers on these solutions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a scientific field such as chemistry, analytical chemistry, biochemistry, biotechnology, or a related discipline.
  • At least four years experience in a similar role or as an end user.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with Agilent solutions is preferred but not required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills that are clear, respectful, and timely.
  • Willingness to travel and visit customers.
