About the role

Dixon is seeking a 2nd shift Production Supervisor to lead our associates in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. As a Production Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of production processes, maintaining product quality, and upholding safety standards. You will supervise manufacturing associates, ensure production schedules are maintained and ensure quality standards are met.

Work Hours:  2:30pm - 11:00 pm

Essential Functions:

  • Responsible for direct supervision, guidance, production, and quality of a team of associates while upholding the Dixon Mission, Vision and Values and all corporate policies
  • Lead, mentor, and develop associates manufacturing practices and safety protocols
  • Promote a positive work environment
  • Coach, mentor and teach skills to assigned team
  • Establish staffing needs, job expectations and report progress/issues timely
  • Ensure employees have needed materials or equipment, tools and monitor/approve requests for time off
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations for team members and provide constructive feedback

Competencies:

  • High school diploma or equivalent degree required
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Knowledge of manufacturing and machining processes
  • Strong understanding of machining processes, tools, and equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Skilled in problem-solving, conflict resolution and decision-making under pressure
  • Knowledge of safety standards and regulations within a manufacturing setting
  • Strong computer skills
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize work
  • Good time management and organization skills
  • Great communicator, team builder, and coach
