Job Description

This Account Manager, Customer Operation team member will be responsible for North America customers to drive seamless Order to Cash execution. This function includes but not limited to, customer demand management, forecasting, and backlog management. The successful team member is expected to own and partner with Sales and cross-functional teams across the organization.

  • Ensure regular and effective communication with customers, sales and cross functional teams within the company.
  • Provide customer account support, identify problems and take corrective actions to achieve optimal results. This includes booking orders in Oracle/SAP system, adjusting ship dates provided by WD factory planners and confirming ship schedules to customers/Sales. Ensure adherence to SOX, ISO and WD revenue recognition guidelines.
  • Focus and proactively strive to maintain best in class quality, accuracy and process consistency to customer service level metrics.
  • Manage customer demand, aligning supply and customer communication -- resolve operational issues to support customer’s schedule requirements, including logistics optimization. Ensuring customer demand is visible to planning and factory teams.
  • Validate customer demand inputs, meetings with customer to understand order trends, drive current and planned consumption of inventory, and stay abreast of product transitions and on-going qualification status at customers.
  • Work closely with demand and supply planning and logistics teams on supply allocation to align with both customer and internal inputs.
  • Manage operational projects to support customer requirements, e.g. ERP, EDI changes or IT implementation at customers or within WD which have impact on the fulfillment or supply chain processes.
  • Report monthly & quarterly revenue and identify potential risks/opportunities to revenue plans.
  • Partner with Analytics team to improve, deliver and develop reporting and dashboards requirements /enhancements Sale to aid Sales Teams and Customers.

Qualifications

  • BS/BA/MS in Business/Economics/Supply Chain or similar degree is preferred.
  • Track record of driving operational excellence and process development.
  • Energetic, passionate team player with excellent communication skills to help foster collaboration internally/externally.
  • 3 years or great relevant experience in sales operations, revenue operations or related roles.
  • Experience with operational issues associated with order backlog management, can quickly identify and resolve inefficiencies across the business.
  • Strong project management, organizational and business analytics skills.
  • Experience in Salesforce, ERP knowledge such as Oracle and SAP.
  • Inventory management and shipping process knowledge is important.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, macros, tables, pivots, functions).
