Duties and Responsibilities

This position is responsible for conducting in-depth and comprehensive audits, assessments, inspection and inventories of all operational components of the Florida Highway Patrol to include but not limited to; analyzing data and preparing executive summaries; writing detailed reports of findings and recommendations for improvement; and providing research and analysis of policies and procedures. This position is also responsible for performing on-site staff inspections and assist in ensuring the Florida Highway Patrol for accreditation.

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Knowledge of standard operational audits and inspection protocols.
  • Strong critical thinking and evaluation skills.
  • Skill in data collection and analysis.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to include effectively conveying complex information.
  • Ability to prepare written reports.
  • Ability to work independently, as well as, with a team.
  • Ability to understand, interpret and apply policies, rules, and regulations.
  • Skill using Adobe Acrobat Pro and Excel.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Performing compliance activities that involve policy interpretation.
  • Writing technical reports.
  • Conducting operational assessments/audits.
  • Providing advice, guidance or direction.
  • Presenting complex information in writing and in person.
  • Working or volunteering in a law enforcement environment.

 

Preference will also be given to applicants who have obtained an Associate’s degree or higher from an accredited college/university.
