Phlebotomist 7am to 3:30pm

Job-related duties.

1. Drawing blood from patients and delivering this blood to local laboratories for testing.

2.  Must Commute to Sister Facility- Harbor Oaks Hospital as needed- Location-New Baltimore, Michigan  

3. Correctly and positively identifying the patient.

4. Choosing the appropriate equipment for obtaining the sample

5. Selecting and preparing the site for collection

6. Collecting the sample, ensuring patient comfort and safety, and correctly labeling the sample.

7. Phlebotomist may also set up blood tests, collects, and tests urine samples. 

Job Qualifications. 

Professional certification in phlebotomy from a recognized program ability to successfully draw blood from patients with minimal or no complications. 

High School diploma or equivalent required. Associate's degree preferred.

Previous experience in behavioral healthcare setting with knowledge of patient population served by the facility preferred.

Empathy and interpersonal skills for working with patients.

Excellent motor skills and the ability to stand for long periods of time

Advanced written and verbal communication skills

Data entry and computer skills

Strong attention to detail
