LifeSouth Community Blood Centers is looking for an enthusiastic, team-oriented, and goal-driven, individual to join the team as a Corporate Administrative Assistant in Gainesville, FL. The position is responsible for providing high-level administrative support to the CFO.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Maintain and organize the supervisor’s calendar, meetings, and travel schedule

- Draft correspondence, answer phones, coordinate mailing and handle inquiries on the supervisor’s behalf

- Act as liaison between all executive officers and related departments

- Take inventory of office supplies and order office supplies as needed

- Provide logistical support of quarterly Board of Directors meetings and Committee meetings

- May manage and implement special projects, as assigned

- Categorize and distribute financial reports on a bimonthly basis

- Monitor and update the postage meter account monthly for the regions

- Work closely with the CFO on yearly renewals (i.e., tax exemption status, tangible and personal

property, and annual mileage compensation)


Qualifications:

- Associate degree

- Basic computer skills and experience with computer programs such as MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)

- Ability to work both independently and as a team member

- Ability to organize and complete multiple assignments with precision and quick turnaround

- Extensive project management experience including strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize, ability to coordinate with others, and meet deadlines

- Ability to anticipate what needs to be done to reach goals and work to achieve these goals

- Strong leadership skills

- Strong analytic and critical-thinking skills

- Ability to work with travel logistics, scheduling, and meeting management

- Strong skills in communication, self-confidence, client relationships, written communication, promoting process improvement, decision making, presenting, and administrative writing

- Valid driver’s license is required. Must meet and maintain LifeSouth driver’s eligibility requirements

- Bachelor’s degree preferred

- Previous administrative assistant/clerical experience preferred

LifeSouth is a non-profit community blood bank serving more than 150 hospitals in Alabama, Florida, Georgia and Tennessee. We are committed to meeting the blood supply needs of hospitals and their patients by providing the highest quality blood components and services. With more than 45 donor centers, 55 bloodmobiles and 2,000 blood drives a month, our LifeSouth team is dedicated to making sure the blood is there when you or your family is in need.

To provide a safe blood supply that meets or exceeds the needs in each community we serve, and to provide a variety of services in support of ongoing and emerging blood and transfusion related activities.
